Amy played high school volleyball at Weaver High School in Alabama, where she led the team to the school's first state appearance and a 4th place finish. She was selected as All State, All Area, and All County for her senior season in volleyball. She also received numerous honors in basketball, softball, and track. She played club volleyball for Sojourners out of Birmingham, Alabama and finished 3rd at USAV Nationals in 1995.
Her college career was at Division I Jacksonville State University in Alabama. She was a 4 year starter in the middle. She broke and still holds many school records for kills, blocks, and aces. She finished her career with 1,428 kills, 489 blocks, 857 digs, and 208 aces. She was a 4-time All Academic team and 2-time All Conference selection.
Since her playing days, she has coached at various levels, starting with Cheaha Juniors/Gamecock Volleyball in Alabama in the late 90's. In 2000-2001, she served as the head assistant for her Alma Mater, Jacksonville State. In 2005, she moved back to Wisconsin and continued coaching club volleyball.
She is now serving as an Assistant Volleyball Coach at Xavier High School.

Makenzie (Mak) was a starter for the Appleton East Varsity Volleyball team as a 6 rotation OH from 2012-2015. She began training as an athlete at Mobile Sports Training when she was 13 years old. She has been coaching for MOST since 2015.
Mak made her collegiate debut for the Division I University of Maryland-Baltimore Country leading the Retrievers in kills with 265, an average of 3.08 per game. She was named All-America East Conference Second Team, All-Rookie Team and America East Rookie of the Year. She then transferred to the University of Minnesota Duluth. She racked up 342 kills in her sophomore season (3.17 per set), ranking first among Bulldog attackers. As a 6 rotation OH she also recorded 273 digs (2.53 per set). Mak earned All-NSIC second team honors and was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team. In her junior year, Mak became the program's second player to land a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-American (third) team. She compiled 379 kills (3.18 per set) and 355 digs (2.98 per set). She was named to the All-NSIC second team for her junior season. In her final year with the Bulldogs she was named to the All-NSIC first team and the CoSIDA Academic All-American first team, putting her in the top 7 division II volleyball student-athletes nationally. In all three seasons with UMD, Mak's team was ranked in the top 10 nationally by the AVCA on a weekly basis and each of the seasons her team competed in the NCAA tournament, making it to the Sweet 16 round in 2017.
In August 2020, Makenzie will be attending Medical School at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

After claiming an impressive 3-2 victory on Friday in Peach Belt Conference action, the UNCP volleyball team echoed a similar performance in the 3-2 victory over rival Montevallo on Saturday afternoon as the Lady Braves claimed the third seed in the conference with the win.
Heather Bolwerk led the team with a .423 hitting percentage as she registered 14 kills on 26 attempts. Bolwerk totaled four kills in game five.

The Lady Braves saw intense action from Heather Bolwerk as she tallied a game-high 11 kills on 19 attempts with a .368 hitting percentage.
